Prof. Tie Koide
Principal Investigator
Short Bio: Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2001), Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (2006), with a Postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute for Systems Biology, Seattle – USA (2008). She is a Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Immunology – FMRP – USP. She works in the fields of Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on Systems Biology, analyzing large-scale gene expression data and assisting in the development of bioinformatics tools. Areas of interest: regulation of gene expression, microbiology, response to environmental stresses, large-scale data integration for the formulation of predictive cellular models, non-coding RNAs, prokaryotic organisms, archaea, and bioinformatics.
